"The efforts of the international community in combating the illicit manufacture of narcotic drugs"

During the period 28.06- 02.07.2010, in Chisinau, was organized the seminar entitled"The efforts of the international community in combating the illicit manufacture of narcotic drugs", event organized by the Moldovan Ministry of Internal Affairs in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Poland for development assistance for Republic of Moldova.

The seminar is a part of bilateral cooperation projects between Republic of Moldova and Poland, gathering polish experts and Moldovan police officers from departments with activity in combating the illicit circulation of drugs.

The main purpose of this event is share of experience and familiarization of the MIA staff with the most advanced methods in fighting with illicit manufacture of psychotropic substances in order to counter this phenomenon as well as practical implementation of modern police activities.

The seminar is addressed to the policies which are promoted by European Union member states in combating this issues, law enforcement activities in combating illegal circulation of psychotropic substances, regional cooperation as an effective form of international cooperation and international operations methods of combating illicit drug trafficking.

Polish experts made a presentation of drug services of Polish police, highlighting the most important cases of disclosure of drug trafficking routes from Poland, underlined the importance of cooperation between our countries as well as reiterated the continued support for Moldovan police.
